The 2024 Men's Wild Game Banquet was held on Friday, March 29th at the Varnville First Baptist Church Life Center at 7:00 p.m.  The guest speaker was professional bass fisherman Clay Dyer.  Clay gave an impassioned talk on his path to salvation and how it has helped him overcome numerous obstacles.  Clay said that his relationship with God is not exclusive, but for any of those who repent of their sins and ask God for forgiveness.  He stressed that a relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in life.  There were a number of men in the crowd that indicated they wanted Jesus in their lives.  Clay has been a professional bass fisherman for over twenty years.  Clay Dyer, born on May 23, 1978, has overcome incredible challenges to become a professional angler. Despite being born without lower limbs, with no left arm, and only a partial right arm, Clay’s determination and positive spirit shine through.  Clay has earned the respect of his fellow anglers on the pro circuit. With over 200 bass tournaments under his belt, Clay has emerged victorious in approximately 20 state bass tournaments.
